Lightly nip the clamp &mdash; do not overtighten; you will fine-tune the skew later.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 5: Connect the Cable<\/h2>\n<p>Screw the F-connector on firmly. Then wrap the connector in self-amalgamating tape, stretching it as you go, from a few centimetres up the cable to a centimetre past the connector.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 6: Check and Fine-Tune<\/h2>\n<p>Go inside, tune a channel, and watch the quality meter. Rotate the LNB slightly in its clamp to peak quality. Tighten the clamp. Run a full scan to confirm all transponders lock.<\/p>\n<h2>Disposal of the Old LNB<\/h2>\n<p>An LNB contains small electronic components. Recycle it at an electrical waste point, not in household trash.<\/p>\n<p>Replacing an LNB is the most satisfying repair in satellite TV &mdash; ten minutes on a ladder and the picture is back.
