You will need to rescan and set it up again.<\/p>\n<h2>Before You Reset<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Note your LNB settings if they are non-standard.<\/li>\n<li>If you have a PVR, be aware recordings are usually kept but timers are wiped.<\/li>\n<li>Check whether a reboot alone fixes the problem first.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>How to Reset<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Open the receiver menu.<\/li>\n<li>Find &ldquo;System&rdquo; or &ldquo;Settings&rdquo;.<\/li>\n<li>Choose &ldquo;Factory Reset&rdquo; \/ &ldquo;Restore Defaults&rdquo;.<\/li>\n<li>Confirm when warned that all data will be wiped.<\/li>\n<li>Let the box restart &mdash; do not pull the power.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>After the Reset<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Re-enter your region and language.<\/li>\n<li>Confirm the LNB setting is &ldquo;universal&rdquo;.<\/li>\n<li>Set DiSEqC ports if you have multiple satellites.<\/li>\n<li>Run a full channel scan.<\/li>\n<li>Re-set favourites and timers.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>When a Reset Is the Right Call<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The channel list is corrupt.<\/li>\n<li>The EPG is permanently wrong.<\/li>\n<li>A setting has got stuck and you cannot reverse it.<\/li>\n<li>The box behaves erratically after a firmware update.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>When It Is Not<\/h2>\n<p>A reset will not fix a weak signal, a dead LNB, or a dish out of alignment. If the signal meter is empty, resetting the box changes nothing.<\/p>\n<h2>Keep the Setup Notes<\/h2>\n<p>Before you reset, jot down the LNB type, DiSEqC settings and any non-standard transponder you use.
