Note any custom LNB or DiSEqC settings. You will need them again.<\/p>\n<h2>The Reset<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Menu &rarr; System &rarr; Factory Reset.<\/li>\n<li>Confirm the warning.<\/li>\n<li>Let the box restart on its own.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Re-setup from Scratch<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Choose language and country.<\/li>\n<li>Set the correct timezone.<\/li>\n<li>Set LNB type to universal, power on.<\/li>\n<li>Set DiSEqC ports if used.<\/li>\n<li>Select your satellite(s).<\/li>\n<li>Run a fresh scan.<\/li>\n<li>Restore favourites and settings from USB.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>If the Reset Does Not Fix It<\/h2>\n<p>If the box still misbehaves after a clean setup, the problem is not the configuration &mdash; suspect hardware (power supply, overheating) or the dish itself.<\/p>\n<h2>What Resetting Does Not Fix<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>A weak signal.<\/li>\n<li>A dead LNB.<\/li>\n<li>A knocked dish.<\/li>\n<li>Missing channels that have moved to encryption.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A factory reset is a clean slate for the software.
