Unplug the receiver from the wall for at least 30 seconds<\/strong>. This drains the internal power supply and forces a full cold boot. Plug it back in and wait for it to load completely \u2014 some receivers take several minutes to rebuild the channel list. A simple reboot resolves the majority of power-cut lockups.<\/p>\n After a power surge, some receivers disable the LNB power output to protect the tuner. Go into the receiver’s LNB settings and confirm that LNB power<\/strong> is set to On. If it was off, turning it back on may restore the signal immediately.<\/p>\n Thunderstorms bring wind and sometimes physical damage. If a reboot does not help, check the signal meter while watching a known channel. If signal strength is at zero, the dish may have moved or the LNB connector may have come loose. Inspect the dish visually for storm damage before climbing up.<\/p>\n If the settings are genuinely corrupted, a factory reset followed by a rescan is the reliable fix. Back up your channel list first if the receiver supports it.
