A clean installation prevents many satellite TV software problems. On Windows 11, install the tuner driver first, then the application, and only add advanced components after live TV works.

Prepare the system
Create a restore point, connect the tuner directly to the computer, and download installers from the official developer or hardware manufacturer. Disconnect unnecessary USB capture devices during setup to reduce driver conflicts.
Install the tuner driver
- Install the driver that matches your tuner model and Windows architecture.
- Restart Windows if the installer requests it.
- Open Device Manager and confirm that the tuner has no warning icon.
- Install any required BDA or manufacturer utility.
Install and configure the software
Install the satellite TV application with its default components. Open device settings, select the detected tuner, and choose the correct satellite, LNB type, and DiSEqC port. Save the configuration before starting a scan.
Scan channels and test playback
Run a blind scan only when you need to discover services; otherwise use a current transponder list to save time. Remove duplicates, create favorites, and test several channels from different transponders. Enable hardware decoding if your graphics driver supports it.
Finish with EPG and recording
Set the correct time zone, refresh EPG data, and make a short test recording. Keep a backup of the working channel database so future updates are easier to undo.
