Managing a Bouquet List on an Enigma2 Box
On Enigma2 receivers, a “bouquet” is a curated list of channels — your personal TV guide. Managing bouquets is the key to enjoying the box.
What Is a Bouquet?
A bouquet is a named group of channels. You can have “News”, “Films”, “Kids” or any other grouping. Switching bouquets is faster than scrolling the full channel list.
Creating a Bouquet On-Box
- Open the channel list.
- Press the menu button and choose “Create bouquet”.
- Name it.
- Add channels by marking them and selecting “add to bouquet”.
Editing Over FTP
For serious editing, connect to the box over FTP, navigate to /etc/enigma2/, and edit the bouquet files with a free Enigma2 bouquet editor. Drag-and-drop is far faster than the remote.
Ordering Channels
Within a bouquet, move channels up and down into an order that makes sense. Put the channels you watch most at the top.
Deleting Unwanted Channels
Hide channels you never watch. A shorter, curated list is much nicer than the full 2,000-channel dump from a scan.
Back Up Bouquets
Once your bouquets are set, back up /etc/enigma2/ so you can restore them after a reset or on a new box.
Bouquets are how you make Enigma2 feel like your TV. Spend an evening organising them and never look at the raw list again.
